Ice Cream Birthday Card, by Kimberly

Do you have a favorite flavor??

Flavor… Do you have a favorite even when the temperatures outside are too cold for ice cream??

I’d have to say YES.  Even when it’s cold outside I can go for a big ole bowl of ice cream in just about any flavor.

Honeycomb Happiness stamp set is filled with cute images and my I have to say all of the images are lovable.  I had to turn this ONE scoop of ice cream into a triple decker though.

Let’s face it, I have NO willpower right now for a single scoop.  I say bring on the flavors.

The exciting part of creating this card was Russ coming in to help me.  YES! Russ!
He came into my stamp room as I was fussy cutting the “chocolate” scoop and made a terrible face.  He says… “Chocolate? No strawberry? Ice!”
So I put him to work.  I told him he had to find the strawberry ice cream in my sea of cardstock and choose the one he felt was the closest to strawberry.  I think he did a pretty good job and chose Pink Pirouette.  I had to add a little Vanilla to the mix too.

Surprise & Delight

This card has a little surprise and delight with it.  I created a mini card using the Banners Framelits.  By simply cutting a 2 3/4 x 11 piece of Corrugated Cardstock I folded it in half and then only cut the bottom piece to create the banner.  Once die cut I embellished the top.  I love that this card has a fun interactive piece on the front of it.

I stamped a simple Thank You greeting from the Rose Wonder stamp set inside the banner.  I love how this turned out.  Sweet and simple.
You could even fit a gift card on the inside of this banner. Simply use a few glue dots to keep it in place.

So ice cream lovers… what is your favorite flavor? If it’s too cold for you to eat the ice cream remember you can create plenty of paper ice cream cones using the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set.  This is a FREE Sale-a-Bration stamp set and it’s OH SO CUTE.
