Get Well Wishes - Kleenex Box

Do you have a sick friend and want to cheer them up?  I cased this idea from Linda Kreech who cased it from Carrie Gaskin.  What fun!



 
Supplies: 
Stamp Set: Word Play (WM 120308, CM 120651, page 156)
Card Stock: Marine Mist, Bravo Burgundy, Whisper White, Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper (122367, page 184)
Ink: Bravo Burgundy
Embellishments:  1/2" Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon (122331, page 195), Designer Printed Brads (122940, page 199)
Punches:  Decorative Label (120907, page 209), Large Oval (119855, page 212), Scallop Oval (119854, page 210), Scallop Trim Border (118402, page 211)
Big Shot:  Houndstooth Textured Impression Embossing Folder (123134, page 218)
Tool:  Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122334, page 7 Holiday Mini), Sticky Tape (104294, page 206)

Instructions:

1.  Start with Marina Mist card base.  Cut piece of Bravo Burgundy card stock 5 1/2" x 3".  Cut piece of Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper 5 1/2" x 2 1/2".  Cut piece of Paisley Petals DSP (orange print for kleenex box) 3 1/4" x 2 1/2"

2.  Run Marina Mist through Big Shot with Houndstooth Embossing Folder. 

3.  Punch Bravo Burgundy piece with Scallop Tri Border.  Attached Paisley Petals 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" piece to Bravo Burgundy and attached to front of card

4.  Score 3 1/4" x 2 1/2" piece of Paisley Petals DSP 1/4" and 1/2" on all 4 sides


 
5.  Cut out all 4 corners with paper snips


 
6.  Punch out center of DSP with Large Oval Punch


 
7.  Punch one large oval with large oval punch in Bravo Burgundy


 
8.  Line up Scallop Oval Punch over large oval already punch and punch out a scallop "frame"



 
9.  Add frame to front of "Kleenex" box


 
10.  Add sticky tape to 4 outside edges of kleenex box


 
11.  Turn box over and insert one piece of kleenex folded so the Kleenex can be pulled out (hopefully your recipient won't pull it out, but if they do......that's okay too)


 
12.  Remove sticky tape from long sides and fold ends in, so that they are stuck to long sides.  Remove sticky from ends and apply to front of card


 
13.  Stamp sentiment onto whisper white card stock.  Punch with Decorative Label Punch.  Punch another decorative label with Bravo Burgundy and use my directions here for framing the sentiment.


 
14.  Add Baja Breeze seam binding and Decorative brad and adhere to front of card.
